Crab Combo Fishing Report
The flat calm clear weather over the weekend provided perfect conditions for enjoying the great fishing at the Farllones Islands. The Silver Fox, skippered by Chris Duba reported in with 28 limits of assorted rockfish, 23 ling cod up to 18lbs, and 28 limits of Dungeness crabs (168) on Sat. On Sunday the New Easy Rider skippered by Joseph Gallia Sr, scored limits of big yellows, big olives and 12 ling Cod, up to 21 lbs before landing 32 limits (192) of big deep water Dungeness Crabs for all the customers aboard. Both skippers agreed that the nice weather contributed to the great scores as they were able to position the vessels over the schools of cod and remain stationary for long periods. The nice weather is expected to continue throughout this week, Berkeley Boats will be departing Daily provided you make your Fishing reservation with us ..in advance

Berkeley Charter Boats
Crab Combo Report
Over the weekend, the Berkeley Charter Boats offering the Crab Combo`s successfully fished the Farallones Islands. Capt Joey Gallia aboard the New Easy Ryder reported first loading up with limits of Big rockfish, and a few lings at the North Farollones, then topped the sacks off with limits of big deep water Dungeness crabs. The boat arrived back at the dock just after 3:00pm and the customers were dragging their bags of catch off the boat. The steaming crab cookers operated aboard the "EL Dorado" By Capt Robert Gallia and Scott Sutherland waited with the boiling water, they provided the perfect conclusion before the customers returned to their cars. On Sunday the winds returned to the Coast and all trips were off.
The Boats are booked up for this weekend. However, we do have plenty of spaces throughout the week and next weekend with a limited amount to depart.
The Berkeley Marina Boats will be offering the trips on a daily basis, and room is limited. Please make your reservation in advance by calling,,,,,

Halibut / Stripped Bass
The Berkeley Charter Boat Halibut Fleet, fishing the bay waters found sunny calm weather over the weekend and a late afternoon bite near the Richmond rock wall. HALIBUT REPORT:
Berkeley Boats reported the best action was along the San Francisco waterFront during the ebb tide in 20-30 feet of water. With the tide getting small each day this week the action should pick back up by the Weekend. The top score for this week inside the Bay was 20 Halibut up to 21/lbs. pounds for 11 Anglers.
COASTAL POTLUCK FISHING:
The EL DORADO/ with Capt. Robert Gallia fished the Bay and Coastal waters on Sunday, scoring 7 Halibut inside the SF bay in the morning before motoring up the Marin Coast to score limits of Rock Fish in the afternoon. The Captain also reported 12 Ling Cod were landed up to 15lbs for the 13 Anglers aboard. The Calm weather and slow drift during the weekend contributed to the great success of the trip and that these ideal conditions along the coast should continue through the month of October.
Plenty of spaces available!!!!!
FARALLONE ISLAND TRIPS:
The trip out to the Islands for the quality rock fish last Saturday produced limits of bottom fish and 19 Lings up to 17lbs for the 23 Anglers aboard the EL DORADO. The main Island has been producing consistent results since the recent increase in water temps., reported Capt. Robert Gallia. As we move into the Fall the weather sea conditions will calm. Most of the Berkeley Skippers are still using the live bait as it is still available for the charter Boat Skippers ONLY!

Albacore Fishing Report:
The weather is expected to settle down by this Friday. The Season has been slammed by the windy North Westerly conditions and by the high fuel prices. The very few who have been able to get off shore have encountered the challenges of the leftover seas and cold water spoils. This could change after Friday as the cool air system passes and leaves a window of calm for the few that are prepared to venture out to the fore front of the Tuna grounds. Captain Robert Gallia of the El Dorado is prepared and ready to run a Tuna Trip on Friday, Sept. 5th if all weather factors come into play.
The Cost: $350 per person
Rods & Tackle: $20. per person
Departure Time: 4:00 am
Return Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
